Upon reopening, you should be prompted to install the new update. To update your game on the Nintendo Switch, make sure you first close the software. These final two updates include the largest amount of content as compared to previous packs, so if you’re itching for new Isaac content, you don’t want to miss this! It is also worth noting that the team behind the aforementioned Antibirth fan-made expansion also helped with the development of these final two Booster Packs. Booster Pack #4 originally launched on Steam Octoand the final update, Booster Pack #5 released early last year on April 30, 2018. Speaking of Booster Packs, up until this point, Nintendo Switch players have only received the first three Booster Packs for The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+. As with previous DLC packs, this will be a paid expansion, unlike the free Booster Packs. McMillen also confirmed later that he is working closely alongside the original Antibirth team on the Repentance DLC, and that it will actually include the original Antibirth mod in the upcoming release. The title of the upcoming DLC is The Binding of Isaac: Repentance, and it is heavily inspired by the popular fan-made expansion The Binding of Isaac: Antibirth. Edmund McMillen, the series creator, spoke about the “FINAL (for real this time) DLC” late last year on his Twitter account and expects that it will be completed sometime in the first half of 2019. This isn’t the only new content coming to The Binding of Isaac, however. These Booster Packs are free periodic content updates to the base game that add new items, trinkets, enemies and - with this final update - a new secret unlockable character. After months of patiently waiting, the final two Booster Packs have been added to The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ for Nintendo Switch.
